If you want to be eligible for winning one or more of these categories you need not apply, but you must have your decorations lit by the night of December 18 when the judges will be prowling about the neighborhood. Winners will find a sign temporarily placed in front of their home designating their superiority over the rest of us and will also win free dues for next year. They may also receive a glorious prize of some kind commemorating the event for future generations. We’re just not organized enough to know yet, so if they do get something else it will be a surprise to all of us.
And, of course, we will make you famous in the January issue of the Shorewood News.
